INSTITUTIONAL TWINNING PROJECT FOR THE CENTRAL AGENCY FOR PUBLIC MOBILIZATION AND STATISTICS (CAPMAS)

“CAPMAS believes that the project succeeded in achieving its objectives because of the efforts made in the pre-contract phases which led to the signing of a twinning contract specifically aimed at achieving CAPMAS requirements within the framework of national demands and international standards. This was the result of the excellent choices made by the CAPMAS and the SAAP teams responsible for project management and implementation.”
Cooperation between CAPMAS and SAAP has been achieved in the best way, due to the good planning of the project, implementing the learned lessons from other successful projects, and the continuous follow up on all activities by the project management team…after the end of the twinning project in November  2010, CAPMAS will evaluate the achieved objectives and define the next cooperation phase with SAAP in order to continue CAPMAS capacity building, especially in the other statistical fields which were not covered by the current project. This cooperation will be achieved using one of the following instruments:  a new twinning project, a technical assistance project, or TAIEX.”
