Summary of Principal Functions

 

He/she is responsible for all administrative assistance services to the projects Managers, as well as visibility and promotion assigned tasks.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data researches to provide informative reports and prepare presentation slides: Statistics collection and interpretation; Preparing News clips, briefs, and analysis;
  • Translating and summarizing information, reports, and publications;
  • Taking meeting minutes and participating if required;
  • Preparing reports, memos and presentation to be sent to the MIIC minister;
  • Assisting in organizing programme conferences and summits
  • Researching for the brochure and handout booklets information;
  • Assisting in brochures and pamphlets preparation
  • Preparing promotional materials and tailored presentations;
  • Coordination with PAO stakeholders;
  • Summarizing, translating and publicizing project fiches;
  • Ensuring accurate filing system to all projects documents
  • Supporting the project management in organizing awareness events; seminars, workshops, and conferences;
  • Preparing the material to develop the website;
  • Replacing the secretaries in absences;
  • Developing and updating databases as required;
  • Drafting and sending press releases to press and media contacts;
  • Updating website and social media pages;
  • Ensuring visibility material and activities comply with donor regulations.

 

Education/Experience

  • Minimum 3years experience in a similar position preferably  with donor funded projects;
  • Master degree in social sciences, economic studies is an asset;
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic both written and spoken;
  • Excellent  organizational, interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills;
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently;
  • Able to manage multiple issues while prioritizing work assignments;
  • Excellent PC skills,  and word processing, desktop publishing, presentation software, database management and spreadsheets applications and internet practice;
  • Ability to overcome difficulties and to solve problems;
  • Experience working with databases;
  • Work experience with public administration  and EU funded projects in an asset.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the Egyptian-European Association Agreement;
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic both written and spoken;
  • Good project management and organisational skills, must be accurate and follow through on assignments;
  • Ability to create team spirit and to efficiently coordinate tasks in a participatory manner;
  • Ability to deal with tact and diplomacy with the EU and Egyptian officials.
